Located in the heart of dynamic Orange County, the Marriott Irvine Spectrum is an inventive new hotel designed with the tech-savvy traveler in mind.
THE ASK
Our team was tasked with creating a grand opening event that showcased the true spirit of the hotel while bringing it’s tech-forward innovations to the forefront.

THE CONCEPT:
INTO THE BIG BLUE SKY
Marriott Irvine Spectrum’s open spaces, floor to ceiling windows and modern aesthetic allow guests to be inspired in this technology forward hotel. We will urge our guests to look to the sky, as Marriott takes on new heights in its reimagined hotel in the heart of Irvine California.
Reflections: An abstract hive (the honeybee is the hotel’s subtle icon that appears throughout the space) hung from the ceiling, emitting light and creating a beautiful pattern throughout the white-washed room. Soft music played, creating a calming atmosphere and encouraging guests to take in the projected reflections..
Skyward Polaroid Collection: As guests entered the hotel they were encouraged to explore the hanging polaroid installation that captured unique aspects of Irvine California.
The Main Stage: The stage had stacked cubes reaching skyward, creating unique branding moments while our talent performed for our guests.
Whiskey Glasses: As a take-away from the event, we had an on-site engraver capturing guest’s names on a whiskey glass (the hotel is known for their unique whiskey collection).
Into the Clouds: A cloud-like balloon sculpture represented the sky lounge located in the tallest tower of the hotel. It is the only rooftop patio found in Orange County, giving the hotel a unique vantage point of the city.

An on-site artist created a unique painting to capture the essence of the evening.
